You are sure to take home a wonderful animal when you adopt from the Edmonton Humane Society.  Our behaviorists and medical staff work hard with each adoptable animal to overcome any challenge an animal is facing.  Our general staff and volunteers also work together to keep a basic routine with all animals in our care to help the animals keep basic training like being housebroken, or teach them basic training.  Our goal is to provide animals to the community that settle well into homes.

PLEASE NOTE:  WE ARE NOT ABLE TO PUT ANIMALS ON HOLD ONCE YOU HAVE NOTICED ONE ON OUR WEBSITE THAT YOU MAY WANT TO ADOPT.  WHEN YOU ARE INTERESTED IN A PARTICULAR ANIMAL THAT YOU SEE ON OUR WEBSITE (ESPECIALLY THE POPULAR BREEDS), YOU SHOULD ARRIVE EARLY AT OUR SHELTER ON THE DAY THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO COME.  THE PEOPLE WHO ARRIVE AT THE SHELTER THE EARLIEST RECEIVE THE FIRST CHOICE OF ANIMALS.  (hours of operation)

ALSO, EXPECT THE ADOPTION PROCESS TO TAKE 2 - 3 HOURS OR SO.  PLEASE ALLOW YOURSELF AMPLE TIME WHEN YOU VISIT OUR SHELTER.
