Resuming Date to be Determined

In an effort to limit the transmission of COVID-19 and with our priority on keeping people and pets in our community healthy and safe, the Edmonton Humane Society (EHS) has modified its services, with some now available by appointment. Please visit our COVID-19 updates page for full details.

Teach your dog using positive, effective training methods from the safety of your own home as you connect live with our expert trainers once a week, for six-weeks.

Helping you improve your relationship with your canine companion!

Here’s what you will need to take part:

  • A Zoom Account (you can sign up for a free account at zoom.us.)
  • Device with camera, and microphone (ipad or Computer) and screen to view instructor
    • You will need to have your device on a low table that is positioned so the trainer can see both yourself and the dog while you are working. A coffee table or chair usually work best.
  • Internet connection
  • Your dog! Please ensure you have your dog on a leash and collar or harness. This will allow you better control and communication with your pup.
  • A clicker (available for purchase from any pet store or online)
  • Small high-value treats in a pouch or container as you would normally prep for class. Be sure to use your dogs favorites and have a water dish for them to drink throughout the class.
  • Space to practice, you’ll need enough room for you and your dog to move comfortably.
    • If you have another dog in the household, please separate them from your working dog. You can give them a Kong toy stuffed with peanut butter to keep them busy while you work!
